A SIDE TRACK BETWEEN DEKANI STATION AND BIVJE HUB

Railway infrastructure A SIDE TRACK BETWEEN DEKANI STATION AND BIVJE HUB

The new 1.2 km track between the Koper railway station and the Dekani substation area, where the siding (turn-out track) is connected to the existing track, allows more flexible train traffic control and increased capacity of the existing Divača–Koper railway line.

In addition to the construction of the side track, the project included the construction of a bridge over the River Rižana, 2 underpasses, 4 culverts, and the Hrastovlje substation, as well as the installation of equipment, signalling-safety and telecommunications equipment, and the ETCS system.

THE SIDE TRACK REPRESENTS THE FIRST

AND KOPER.
