Access roads

Railway infrastructure Access roads

A total of 22.8 km of access roads allow the construction of the new Divača–Koper railway line to proceed smoothly. The second track construction sites are accessed by way of 32 roads, 23 of which are newly built, with a total length of 21 km, and the rest are existing local roads, cart tracks, and field tracks that have been widened.

The access roads are used to transport machinery and construction materials during the construction of the second track and will be handed over to the local communities for further use once construction is completed.

THE RENOVATED STONE VIADUCT UNDER NASIREC, WHICH IS MORE THAN 100 YEARS OLD AND IS THE ACCESS ROAD TO THE CONSTRUCTION SITES IN THE VALLEY OF THE RIVER GLINŠČICA, IS THE ONLY VIADUCT ON THE SLOVENIAN SECTION OF THE FORMER HRPELJE–KOZINA–TRST RAILWAY LINE. ONCE THE SECOND TRACK IS BUILT, THE VIADUCT WILL ONCE AGAIN BE A CYCLING AND WALKING PATH.
