Railway infrastructure UPGRADING THE ZIDANI MOST–CELJE RAILWAY LINE

The Zidani Most–Celje two-track railway line section is on the main Zidani Most–Pragersko–Šentilj/Hodoš line and is part of the European TEN-T network on the Lyon–Trieste–Divača/Koper–Divača–Ljubljana– Budapest–Ukrainian border railway axis.

In order to ensure the axle and length category of the D4 line (225 kN/axle, 80 kN/m), to increase speed, safety, to ensure interoperability, and to eliminate bottlenecks, the line was upgraded, including the upgrade of the sections Zidani Most–Rimske Toplice, Rimske Toplice–Laško, and Laško–Celje, and the upgrade of the stations Rimske Toplice, Laško, and Celje.
