FLOOD PROTECTION MEASURES ON THE RIGHT BANK OF THE RIVER SAVINJA IN PARIŽLJE
Flood protection measures safeguard the residents of Parižlje, a village on the right bank of the Savinja River, from rising waters. The Savinja River frequently floods, causing damage, and the intensity and frequency of these floods are increasing due to climate change.
Flood protection measures on the right bank of the Savinja River in Parižlje, under the Polzela Bridge, included approximately 800 meters of water management works. These included the widening of the bank and securing it with a stone embankment, selectively cutting riparian vegetation, removing debris, and constructing of a stone-concrete wall.
PROTECTION MEASURES REDUCE THE FLOOD RISK.
